William R. Quinlivan began his emphasis on commercial real estate in 1984, after a 14-year career designing, constructing and arranging for the development of commercial and industrial facilities.Quinlivan’s background involves a diverse blend of education and experience. Upon graduation from the Auburn University School of Architecture, he remained at Auburn as an instructor of structural design. He later served as Regional Manager for Armco Building Systems in Louisville, KY, and as a design/build developer in Cleveland, Ohio and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Currently, Bill handles projects for a diverse corporate client base throughout the USA and the world.
With this training as a base, Bill has successfully served as a real estate consultant for major corporations such as Fleet Mortgage. With Bill’s assistance, Fleet Mortgage consolidated five locations into a single 236,000 square foot “build to suit” office facility in northwestern Milwaukee. Not only was Bill able to facilitate an economic solution for Fleet’s move, he also assisted Fleet in obtaining attractive state funding for its relocation, bus service to its new location, and necessary street improvements.
Bill finalized a corporate assignment for USF Holland for a 105-door truck terminal that had reached the point that Holland was considering moving to a location in Northern Illinois. With the help of the Department of Commerce, City of Milwaukee and the Governor, a resolution was found with quick freeway access in the city of Milwaukee, preserving 350 high paying jobs for Wisconsin. This total project cost Holland just under $11,000,000.
Bill has provided a variety of consulting services to firms such as Square D, Best Buy, Kalmbach Publishing, Miller Brewing, American Appraisal Associates, Firstar, and spent 11 years serving Snap-on Incorporated as national coordinator for the disposition and the acquisition of real estate throughout the United States. This consultancy has involved over 1,500,000 sq. ft. of property with a value of over $40,000,000 consisting of close to 600 transactions.
